Shivaji statue collapse: Sculptor’s custody extended till September 13

A Malvan court has extended police remand for sculptor Jaydeep Apte until September 13 and sent structural consultant Chetan Patil to judicial custody following the collapse of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj's statue at Rajkot fort on August 26. Technical help is being sought to determine the statue's quality and strength, with a deputy SP rank officer leading the probe.
