'Attacked by Bangladesh migrants', Assam police open fire, kill 2

Two suspected Bangladesh-origin settlers were killed by police during an eviction drive in Sonapur, Guwahati, aimed at reclaiming government land from illegal occupation. The clash resulted in injuries to 22 officials and 11 settlers. The Kamrup administration began the operation last Monday, targeting areas with alleged illegal encroachments on government and tribal lands.
