Botched Naga op: SC closes criminal cases against 30 Armymen

The Supreme Court has annulled criminal proceedings against 30 Army personnel implicated in a failed operation that killed 13 civilians in Nagaland's Mon district in 2021. The court highlighted that the Centre had refused to provide the necessary sanction under Section 6 of the Armed Forces (Special Powers) Act, making the FIR unsustainable.
