First Bullet train trial to begin near Surat in 2026

The Ahmedabad-Mumbai bullet train project is set to commence its first trial run in 2026 between Surat and Bilimora. Spanning 508km with eight stations in Gujarat, construction on this priority stretch is advanced. The Vadodara station's design draws inspiration from banyan trees, with a targeted completion date of December 2025.
