Man held in 2011 pipe bomb case tries to kill self at Tamil Nadu sub-jail

Zakir Hussain, arrested for attempting to target former Union minister L K Advani with a pipe bomb in 2011, attempted suicide by ingesting poison at Poonamallee sub-jail. Despite securing bail six months ago, he couldn't meet the requirements. Currently stable in Govt Stanley Hospital, an investigation is underway on how he obtained the poison.
