UP panchayat 'forgives' man after shoe-beating for sharing woman's obscene photos

In Bareilly, Uttar Pradesh, a local panchayat addressed an incident where a man shared morphed obscene pictures of his relative to affect her marriage prospects. The panchayat ruled that the man would be punished with shoe-beatings by the woman's mother. After this punishment, he was forgiven and no police action was pursued.
