S B Madhavi, Chennai's first woman dafadar, was moved to Manali after she disobeyed orders not to wear lipstick. She challenged the directive's legality and cited human rights violations. While the mayor's office provided other reasons for her transfer, Madhavi insists it was a punitive action.
