BSP to go solo in Maharashtra, Jharkhand elections & UP bypolls: Mayawati
Tuesday, 15 October 2024 BSP chief Mayawati announced the party will contest the Maharashtra and Jharkhand assembly polls solo, ensuring unity to pursue power inspired by B R Ambedkar's ideals. BSP will also field candidates in Uttar Pradesh by-elections for nine seats. The Election Commission scheduled the Maharashtra polls for November 20 and Jharkhand in two phases on November 13 and 20.
