Congress fields ex-MP’s son for Nanded Lok Sabha bypoll

Congress has announced Ravindra Chavan as its candidate for the Nov 20 Nanded Lok Sabha bypoll, following the death of his father, MP Vasant Chavan. AIMIM's Imtiaz Jaleel will also contest. Jaleel's candidacy could indicate an AIMIM-BJP alliance. BJP is yet to announce its candidate, though Pratap Patil Chikhalikar is a potential contender.
