T20 World Cup tie likely to be an‘opener’ for Varanasi stadium

The international cricket stadium in Varanasi is expected to be completed by December 2025, ahead of its original March 2026 deadline, potentially hosting an ICC T20 World Cup match. This state-of-the-art stadium, inspired by Lord Shiva, will accommodate 30,000 spectators and is being constructed for Rs 450 crore.
