SC relaxes Kappan's bail rider, says no need to report to cops every wk

The Supreme Court provided relief to journalist Siddique Kappan, modifying his bail conditions in a UAPA case. Kappan, arrested in 2020 while en route to Hathras, Uttar Pradesh, is no longer required to report to the local police station weekly. The court acknowledged his right to free expression while granting him bail after nearly two years of imprisonment.
