Justice Sanjiv Khanna takes oath as 51st Chief Justice of India

Justice Sanjiv Khanna was sworn in as the 51st Chief Justice of India by President Droupadi Murmu at the Rashtrapati Bhawan. Prime Minister Narendra Modi and other dignitaries were present. Justice Khanna, succeeding former CJI D Y Chandrachud, will serve a six-month term until May 1, 2025.
