Blow to Delhi Congress as ex-MLA Mateen Ahmed joins AAP

Five-time MLA and prominent Muslim leader Mateen Ahmed left the Congress party to join the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP). Ahmed, who served in the Delhi Assembly for two decades, cited AAP's commitment to the people as his motivation. His defection comes as a blow to the Congress party ahead of the upcoming Delhi Assembly elections.
