Chennai rains: Schools closed today amid heavy rainfall

Due to heavy rainfall in Chennai, schools have been given a holiday. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a yellow alert for several districts in Tamil Nadu, predicting heavy rainfall until November 15th. A low-pressure area in the Bay of Bengal is expected to bring moderate to heavy rainfall, thunderstorms, and lightning to Chennai and its surrounding areas.
