‘Ratan’, ‘Durga’ or ‘Bella’? Rhino calf born at Assam zoo spoilt for choice of names
Thursday, 14 November 2024 () A newborn rhino calf at the Assam State Zoo has become the center of a naming contest. The yet-to-be-named female calf, born to rescued rhinos 'Gaonburha' and 'Pori', marks the first rhino birth at the zoo in over a decade. Suggestions have poured in, ranging from 'Ratan' as a tribute to the late industrialist to more unconventional choices like 'Unemployment'.
