Not Haryana or Punjab, Madhya Pradesh tops in farm fires

Madhya Pradesh has recorded the highest number of farm fires in India, surpassing Punjab and Haryana. However, tribal-dominated districts in the state have remained largely unaffected due to their traditional farming practices that involve reusing stubble as fertilizer. Farmers cite a lack of government support and limited alternatives for the increase in burning.
