Constitution Day: No Lok Sabha or Rajya Sabha sessions on December 26
Wednesday, 20 November 2024 India's Parliament will not convene on December 26th in observance of Constitution Day. The winter session, scheduled from November 25th to December 20th, may see the introduction of the 'One Nation One Election' bill and the Waqf Amendment Bill. While Prime Minister Modi advocates for simultaneous Lok Sabha and state assembly elections, Congress President Kharge deems the concept unfeasible.
Reacting to the CAG report on the money spent on renovating the Delhi chief minister's residence,' AAP Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Singh on Monday said BJP speaking about corruption was like 'Osama Bin Laden preaching non-violence.'
Singh was responding to BJP questioning Arvind Kejriwal on the source of funds used for the renovation. BJP has termed the CM's residence as Kejriwal's 'Sheeshmahal.'
