Out of numerous rebel candidates in the Maharashtra assembly elections, only two secured victories. Sharad Sonawane won in Junnar, while Shivaji Patil emerged victorious in Chandgad. Although most rebels failed to win, some significantly impacted the outcome in certain constituencies by securing a substantial number of votes, thereby affecting the chances of alliance candidates.
