Tamil Nadu minister erases ‘harijan colony’ from school nameboard

In Namakkal, Tamil Nadu, a primary school's nameboard bearing the term "harijan colony" was painted over, and the school renamed "Mallasamudram East" following public attention. Chief Minister M K Stalin lauded the citizens who raised the issue, while the Education Minister officially changed the name and honored one of them.
