Mamata Banerjee condemned the arrest of ISKCON priest Chinmoy Krishna Das. Das was arrested in Bangladesh. India expressed concern over the treatment of minorities. ISKCON called for peaceful coexistence for Hindus in Bangladesh. Das was arrested at Dhaka airport. He was going to a rally in Chattogram. The Indian government urged Bangladesh to ensure the safety of all minority groups.
