New draft UGC rules moot flexibility; UG, PG students can pick any discipline

The University Grants Commission (UGC) has proposed new regulations allowing Class 12 students to pursue any undergraduate program and undergraduate students to join any postgraduate discipline, regardless of their previous stream, by clearing entrance exams like CUET.
