Threatened with fake arrest warrant, man loses 71 lakh

A retired steel executive in Mumbai lost Rs 71 lakh to cyber fraudsters impersonating Customs and CBI officers, who falsely accused him of drug smuggling and money laundering. His family briefly witnessed the scam but were dismissed. A similar incident occurred in Thane, where a man was conned out of Rs 59 lakh using the same tactics.
