Remove GST on agriculture inputs: Farmers to FM Nirmala Sitharaman

Farmer organizations met with Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman on Saturday, urging GST exemption on agricultural inputs like equipment, feed, fertilizers, seeds, and medicines. They also proposed doubling PM-Kisan scheme benefits and implementing uniform taxation in agricultural markets to improve governance and control food inflation. Further, they suggested an evaluation of existing government schemes for farmers.
