Over 90 pc villages in Punjab, MP, UP, Bihar achieved ODF Plus status: Centre

Over 90% of villages in Punjab, Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, and Bihar have achieved Open Defecation Free (ODF) Plus status, according to the Jal Shakti Ministry. Madhya Pradesh leads with 99% coverage. Union Minister CR Patil praised the progress, emphasizing sanitation as a behavioral mission crucial for rural health and dignity.
