Faecal coliform count at 79L units, Yamuna hits record pollution in Nov in four years

Delhi's Yamuna River faced its worst pollution levels since December 2020 this November, with fecal coliform reaching alarming levels. Untreated sewage is the primary culprit, exceeding safe limits by hundreds of thousands of units. While the monsoon initially improved dissolved oxygen, other pollutants surged.
