Tamil Nadu rains: IMD issues orange alert in 4 delta districts

The IMD issued an orange alert for several delta districts in Tamil Nadu, including Ariyalur, Thanjavur, Tiruvarur, and Pudukottai, predicting heavy to very heavy rainfall. Mayiladuthurai and Thanjavur experienced moderate rainfall, prompting school and college closures in Mayiladuthurai. Fishermen were advised to stay ashore due to the weather conditions.
