Telangana CWC drops 'bonding exercise' between kids & couples who bought them

IndiaTimes Thursday, 12 December 2024
A Telangana child welfare committee has cancelled a planned bonding exercise between 15 "rescued" children and the adoptive parents they were separated from due to a trafficking investigation. The children, aged seven months to four years, will remain in government shelters until legally adoptable. Authorities decided against the exercise to avoid setting a precedent that could validate illegal adoptions.
