Want permanent firecrackers ban, says Delhi govt

The Delhi government told the Supreme Court it favors a permanent firecracker ban and will soon make the current ban permanent. The court, addressing air and noise pollution, will review the matter and NCR states' responses on December 19th. It also urged a shift to electric vehicles for public transport, government, and PSU vehicles to combat vehicular pollution.
