Gadchiroli commandos established a police station in Pengunda, near the Chhattisgarh border, pushing closer to the Maoist stronghold of Abujmarh. A new road and bridges were constructed in 24 hours, enabling permanent stationing of 450 commandos. This fortified station will serve as a base for operations against Maoists and provide security for highway construction in the formerly dangerous area.
