Maharashtra home dept orders safe houses for married interfaith couples
Tuesday, 17 December 2024 () Maharashtra government established safety measures for inter-caste and inter-faith couples. Special cells and a helpline (112) will ensure their security. Safe houses will be provided in government rest houses or private accommodations. The social justice department will bear the expenses. Regular updates will be submitted to the Bombay High Court. Police and district officials will oversee these arrangements.
