RS deputy chairman Harivansh dismisses opposition notice seeking removal of VP Dhankhar: Report
Thursday, 19 December 2024 Rajya Sabha Deputy Chairman Harivansh rejected an impeachment notice against Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar filed by 60 opposition members. The notice, alleging bias, was deemed flawed, hasty, and designed to damage Dhankhar's reputation. Harivansh criticized the opposition's attempt to undermine constitutional institutions and personally target the Vice President with unfounded claims.
Reacting to the CAG report on the money spent on renovating the Delhi chief minister's residence,' AAP Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Singh on Monday said BJP speaking about corruption was like 'Osama Bin Laden preaching non-violence.'
Singh was responding to BJP questioning Arvind Kejriwal on the source of funds used for the renovation. BJP has termed the CM's residence as Kejriwal's 'Sheeshmahal.'
