At 60, Pune surgeon balances medicine and milestones with 100km run in under 16 hours

60-year-old Pune doctor and ENT head, Dr. Neelam Vaid, completed a 100-km ultra-marathon in Rajasthan in 15 hours, 31 minutes. A seasoned runner, she balanced rigorous training with her demanding medical career, waking up at 4:30 a.m. to run. The historical significance of the Jaisalmer-Longewala route motivated her, and despite challenges, she and her running partner finished together.
