Dhankhar spoke for ‘30%’ of Rajya Sabha time in Parliament winter session: TMC
Friday, 20 December 2024 Trinamool Congress MP Derek O'Brien criticized Rajya Sabha Chairman Jagdeep Dhankhar for allegedly speaking for nearly 30% of the Upper House's functional time during the winter session. O'Brien questioned if this constituted a new parliamentary record. This follows an unsuccessful attempt by opposition members to remove Dhankhar, citing bias and lack of trust.
Reacting to the CAG report on the money spent on renovating the Delhi chief minister's residence,' AAP Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Singh on Monday said BJP speaking about corruption was like 'Osama Bin Laden preaching non-violence.'
Singh was responding to BJP questioning Arvind Kejriwal on the source of funds used for the renovation. BJP has termed the CM's residence as Kejriwal's 'Sheeshmahal.'
