Mumbai air quality worsens, BMC issues fresh pollution guidelines

BMC's Solid Waste Management (SWM) department has directed assistant engineers to implement measures to control dust and manage construction activities to tackle air pollution in Mumbai. These measures include deploying sweeping machines, using water sprinklers, monitoring debris disposal, and regulating vehicles carrying construction materials. Officials must maintain daily records and submit weekly progress reports. Non-compliance may lead to disciplinary action.
