In 2022, Sunil Yadav, a drug lord from Punjab, evaded capture by fleeing to the US using a fake passport. Accused of betraying and causing the death of gangster Ankit Bhadu, Yadav was killed in California in 2022 by rivals led by Goldy Brar. Yadav's international drug operations spanned Dubai and the US.
