'Somebody's life is at stake': SC issues notice to Punjab govt on medical aid for farmer leader Dallewal

It directed the Punjab government to provide him with medical aid and submit a compliance report. Dallewal is demanding the Centre address farmers' issues, including legal guarantees for minimum support price (MSP).
A US military aircraft carrying 205 deported Indian immigrants, mostly from Punjab, is set to land in Amritsar this afternoon. Punjab NRI Affairs Minister Kuldeep Singh Dhaliwal criticized the deportations, saying these individuals contributed to the US economy and deserved permanent residency. The Punjab government has set up counters at the airport to assist the returnees.
