Retired Mumbai consultant loses Rs 1.8cr to ‘CBI officers’ in courier scam

A retired consultant from Bandra West became the latest victim of cyber fraud, losing Rs 1.75 crore after being persuaded to transfer the funds for verification. The fraudsters posed as officials from various organizations, deceiving the victim into believing her accounts were involved in serious criminal activities.
