After 40 years of waiting, hazardous waste from the 1984 Bhopal Gas Tragedy is finally being transported to a disposal plant in Pithampur. The convoy of 337 metric tons of waste, escorted by 700 security personnel, follows rigorous safety protocols and will be incinerated within 3 to 9 months.
