Indian nurse Nimisha Priya's death sentence not ratified by president, says Yemen embassy
The Yemeni embassy clarified that President Rashad al-Alimi has not ratified the death sentence of Indian nurse Nimisha Priya, contradicting earlier reports. Priya, convicted of killing a Yemeni national Talal Abdo Mahdi, her business partner, in 2017, remains imprisoned. The Indian government had earlier announced that it is closely monitoring the case.
