Delhi signed off 2024 as India’s 2nd most polluted city

IndiaTimes Tuesday, 7 January 2025 ()
Delhi remains one of India's most polluted cities, with PM2.5 levels averaging 107 µg/m³ in 2024. Despite some improvements, high vehicle density, poor regulation of industrial emissions, and seasonal stubble burning contribute significantly to air pollution. The report recommends enhanced public transportation, effective dust management, and regional coordination to address agricultural waste burning, targeting a 40% reduction by 2026.
