Soldiers at Siachen glacier now have high-speed internet

Reliance Jio, in collaboration with the Indian Army, has become the first telecom operator to extend 4G and 5G network connectivity to the Siachen glacier. Utilizing pre-configured, indigenous full-stack 5G technology, the deployment at 16,000 feet in extreme conditions at Siachen was made possible with significant logistical support from the Army.
