DRDO successfully tests Nag Mark 2 anti-tank guided missiles in Rajasthan
Monday, 13 January 2025 () The DRDO successfully carried out field evaluation trials of the indigenously-developed Nag Mk 2 anti-tank guided missile at Pokhran firing range in Rajasthan. The trials ensured the missile's precision and validated its range, confirming its readiness for induction into the Indian Army. Defence Minister Rajnath Singh congratulated DRDO, Indian Army, and industry partners.
India has successfully test-fired its long-range hypersonic missile, joining a select group of countries including Russia and China. The missile, launched by the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) on November 16, 2024, can reach speeds over Mach 5 (more than 6,174 km/h) and target both sea and land-based objectives. This achievement underscores India's growing stature as a global military power.
