Bull tamer gored to death, 75 hurt at Avaniyapuram jallikattu

A 22-year-old bull tamer died and many were injured at a jallikattu event in Madurai's Avaniyapuram during Pongal celebrations. The deceased, Naveen Kumar, was gored by a bull. His family demanded compensation and a government job for a member. At Palamedu, 51 injuries were reported among bull tamers, owners, and spectators. CM M K Stalin announced compensation for Kumar’s family.
