Employment regulation? Govt may soon ask private companies to notify all vacancies

IndiaTimes Monday, 20 January 2025 ()
Mumbai: Private companies may soon be required to notify job vacancies to the government under a new Social Securities Act. This act aims to replace the Employment Exchanges Act, 1959, to formalize job vacancy notifications and introduce penalties for non-compliance. The initiative includes a state-specific job portal for companies to list openings as part of a broader 100-day action plan.
