CBI seeks death for RGK convict,opposes similar plea by WB govt

CBI has appealed to the Calcutta high court for a death penalty for Sanjay Roy, convicted of raping and murdering a resident doctor. The court will hear the case on January 27. The debate also involves the maintainability of a similar plea by the Bengal government, contested by the CBI.
