Defence ministry to hold talks with Mazagon Docks, German co for 6 submarines

India is one step closer to finalizing 'Project-75 India' for acquiring six new diesel-electric submarines, as the defence ministry opens the commercial bid submitted by Mazagon Docks and German company ThyssenKrupp Marine Systems. The MDL-TKMS bid surpassed the Spanish rival's offer, with the German submarine demonstrating a functional air-independent propulsion system.
