Opposition dubs waqf JPC proceedings ‘mockery’

Opposition members of the JPC on the Waqf Amendment Bill accuse chairman Jagdambika Pal of procedural violations and allegedly acting under government pressure. They assert that their attempts to ensure constitutional protections for minorities were thwarted and threaten to take the matter to the Supreme Court if the bill is passed.
