85% of class 3 students in Andhra Pradesh cannot solve basic math problems, 93.8% have smartphones

The ASER-Rural 2024 report reveals significant deficiencies in reading and arithmetic skills among students in Andhra Pradesh. Although smartphone usage in households has increased, there has been a noticeable decline in literacy and numeracy over the past decade, highlighted by poor reading proficiency and math skills in primary and middle school students.
