GBS outbreak in Pune: 25 RO plants closed; NIV too confirms bad water caused outbreak, says PMC

The Pune Municipal Corporation has ordered 25 reverse osmosis water filtration plants to halt operations due to water contamination linked to a Guillain-Barré Syndrome outbreak. Tests found harmful bacteria in the water, leading authorities to insist on improved purification standards. The National Institute of Virology confirmed contaminated water as the source of the outbreak.
