Rescue operations are underway, with over 200 soldiers deployed and 1,500 more on standby. Despite the ongoing efforts, aftershocks continue, complicating rescue efforts. Chinese President Xi Jinping has urged full-scale efforts to minimize casualties and provide shelter to those affected in freezing conditions.
